5 Steps to secure your Android Lollipop device with screen pinning

Android Lollipop comes with some hidden security feature that you may not know of! It's called screen pinning, and what it does is to pin an app of your choice to your smartphone or tablet's display. The very simple idea is about pinning an app, handing the device to someone who wants to use it, and letting them use only, and only this one app that's been pinned to the screen. Moreover, the feature can be combined with the typical screen lock (pattern, pin, password, etc), so if one presses the power button and locks the device, they'll have to get through the screen lock before they get to the pinned app.
How do you see this? The only sad story about it is that it's pretty easy to learn that pressing the triangle and square keys together at the same time gets rid of the pinned app. But still, going online and reading guides isn't that easy for small children or older relatives who want to entertain themselves for a bit with your phone. In such cases, app pinning might work out flawlessly.
Here's how to set it up on your Lollipop-running device!
Steps (with screenshots)
1. Open Settings, and tap Security.

2. Scroll down and Click on Screen pinning.

3. Tap the switch to turn Screen pinning on. You can also turn on the Lock device when unpinning option and set up an unlock mechanism while you're at it.

4. Now that you've activated screen pinning, press the square key (the one for multitasking), and the last app in the stack of cards will have a circular pin icon to its bottom right. Just keep swiping apps right until you get to the one you want to pin. And if this app isn't in the stack of cards for some reason, you'll have to open it from the app drawer, then open the multitasking menu, and look for it again. Once you've gotten to the app, tap the pin icon. You'll get the Screen is pinned message. Tap Got It boom you're all set!
To Unpin
1. To unpin the app, just press the triangle and square keys together until you get the Screen unpinned message. Then tap the circle button to go back to your device's home screen.
