Paypal Announces it will Shut down it Blackberry App Soon

PayPal has announced it will shut down its BlackBerry app on June 30. However, BBM users will still be able to send peer-to-peer payments on the messaging service via PayPal.



PayPal will also be sunsetting its Windows Phone and Amazon Fire Phone apps on that same day. In a blog post, the company stated:



It was a difficult decision to no longer support the PayPal app on these mobile platforms, but we believe it's the right thing to ensure we are investing our resources in creating the very best experiences for our customers. We remain committed to partnering with mobile device providers, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.
